Important Information for those Traveling to the Kentucky Horse Park

Please be advised the Kentucky Dept. of Agriculture has changed their regulations regarding horses shipping into Kentucky from Texas.  Texas has been affected by the detection of Equine Piroplasmosis in several counties which has caused increased regulation regarding the transport of horses from this state.  Currently, and until further notice, horses arriving to Kentucky and the Park for shows and events from Texas will be required to test negative for “Piro” (Equine Piroplasmosis/T. equigenitalis).  Any horses arriving from Texas without a negative test will be denied entry.  All other requirements remain the same in regard to EIA (coggins) and health certificates.
