Join us for our long format clinic. Riders will start with perfecting the jog with 3* rider Susan Hellard. Immediately following their jogs, riders will move to the steeplechase portion with 5* rider Cathy Wieschhoff! Riders will then be treated to refreshments courtesy of Baird McIntosh Group and learn the ins and outs of the vet box with FEI vet Dr. Sarah Escaro.

STEEPLECHASE

Learn about the Steeplechase phase from 5* eventer, Cathy Wieschhoff. Cathy has competed at Kentucky CCI **** and Burghley CCI ****. She is a ECP Certified Level V instructor, and R course designer, and an FEI Level 2 Cross Country Course Designer. Sessions will be in groups of 3, at the same level, for 30 minutes. Be warmed up, attired for XC, and ready to jump at start time.

JOG

Learn about preparing a horse for the jog from 3* rider Suzie Hellard. The jog is about far more than a beautifully groomed horse and a fancy outfit. It is about preparation, presentation, fitness, confidence, manners, and understanding the expectations of the ground jury. The jog is an opportunity to present your horse at its very best—and knowing how to prepare for that moment can make all the difference.Suzie will share practical tips and firsthand experience to help riders understand what happens before, during, and after the jog, how to prepare their horse, how to present themselves professionally, and how to approach the jog with confidence.

VET BOX

Expert vet box tips from FEI DVM Sarah Escaro of Hagyard Equine. A life long horsewoman, Dr. Escaro brings a rider’s perspective to her work as an equine veterinarian. Sarah now serves as an associate within their Performance Medicine &Lameness department. As a recognized USEF and FEI veterinarian, she supports top-level equine athletes at national and international competitions across the country. Levels offered are beginner novice, novice and training. Please be warmed up and ready in your vest and helmet for the steeplechase portion.
