Grant Winners

The Christine Brown Grant was created in her memory. She left a permanent imprint on many people’s lives, and was generous to all, no matter if they were 2 legged or 4 legged. Applicants were required to be current members, to write an essay on how the grant will be used, including what they hope to achieve and how they will give back to MSEDA. This year’s recipient is: Anastasia Curwood

The MSEDA Educational Grant is given to help members further their equine education by providing financial assistance. Applicants must be current members and write an essay on what kind of education they seek, and how they will give back to MSEDA. This year’s recipient is: Molly DePerna & Leah Vasquez

The Junior Grant was established to further the equine education of the organization's younger members. MSEDA believes that by providing additional opportunities for the young riders in our association, Area 8 and Region 2 will continue to be competitive on a local, regional and national level for many years to come. This year’s recipient is: Kyra Steinbeck

The Helen Sproat Officials Grant was created in order to assist an MSEDA Official in completing their required training, or furthering their education, in an effort to give back to MSEDA as a Technical Delegate or Judge. This year’s recipient is: Joe Carr

The Competition Grant was created to support MSEDA sanctioned competitions in purchasing useful equipment, tools, or objects that will enhance safety and quality of their shows for the future. Funds will be reimbursed to the competition organizer upon submission of receipts of purchase. This is a good opportunity to invest in stakes for cross country jumps, safety cups, measuring equipment, a new jump, etc. This year’s recipient is: Shelly Ryan, for Masterson Equine Trust
