MSEDA MEDALS PROGRAM



Dressage Medal Program

Award may be achieved at a MSEDA sanctioned show at Training, First, Second, Third and Fourth Levels 

Must have scores at 60% or higher at respective level (USDF Events) or 63% of higher at respective level (Schooling Events)

Horse and rider must achieve qualifying scores as a pair. For example, a rider cannot submit three different scores achieved on different horses.

Rider must be a member of the MSEDA who have completes their volunteer hours 

Horse must be activated for the rider

Scores from any MSEDA sanctioned event from January 2026. Must send in scores and Judges signature via email to theadmin@mseda.org by November 4th of the competition year in order to receive prize at that years awards banquet.


Distinguished (MSEDA Bronze)

Must have six scores of 60% (USDF Events) or 63% (Schooling Events) 

Three at Training Level from 3 different judges and 3 different rides

Three at First Level from 3 different judges and 3 different rides


Honored (MSEDA Silver)

Must have six scores of 60% (USDF Events) or 63% (Schooling Events) 

Three at Second Level Level from 3 different judges and 3 different rides

Three at Third Level from 3 different judges and 3 different rides


Exemplary (MSEDA Gold)

Must have three scores of 60% (USDF Events) or 63% (Schooling Events) 

Three at Fourth Level Level from 3 different judges and 3 different rides


Eventing Medals

Award may be achieved at a MSEDA sanctioned show Starter - Intermediate

A rider must submit three different scores earned at a horse trail or four different scores at a mini trial or if a combination four total scores.

Scores can be achieved on different horses.

Rider must be a member of the MSEDA who have completes their volunteer hours

Horse must be activated for the rider

Scores from any MSEDA sanctioned event from January 2026.


Distinguished (MSEDA Bronze)

Must finish on a score of 50 or less - riders to submit 3 different scores under 2 different judges for HT's OR 4 different scores under 2 different judges for the Mini Trials. No XC Penalties.

Honored (MSEDA Silver)

Must finish on a score of 40 or less - riders to submit 3 different scores under 2 different judges for HT's OR 4 different scores under 2 different judges for the Mini Trials. No XC Penalties.

Exemplary (MSEDA Gold)

Must finish on a score of 30 or less - riders to submit 3 different scores under 2 different judges for HT's OR 4 different scores under 2 different judges for the Mini Trials. No XC Penalties.
