Licensed Officials

MSEDA is the only regional association in the country that operates a licensing program for Eventing and Dressage officials. Modeled after U.S. Equestrian Federation and USDF-L programs, the process requires candidates to demonstrate knowledge and proficiency through hands-on experience, apprenticeships with licensed officials, and written and oral exams. Licensed officials also participate in annual continuing education.

This program ensures that MSEDA-sanctioned competitions benefit from well-trained judges and technical delegates. By licensing officials and sanctioning competitions, MSEDA helps maintain consistent, current standards that align with national rules and expectations. You can view MSEDA's Licensed Official list here.
